We always remember that people dwell in buildings, they work in them, are cared for in them, present and view the arts in them, worship and play in them. 

They form the places were we are.

It is too easy to forget amidst the complexity and stress of the design and construction process that as architects, clients, contractors we share this responsibility; to create the physical environemnt that the world will live in. And not just in the present but for future generations, the buildings we make now will form the environment that our decendants inhabit.

What does it mean to build? The old German word for to build is buan and means to dwell. That is, to stay, to remain...The word bin (am) came from the old word to build, so that I am, you are means; I dwell, you dwell. The way that you are and I am the way men are on earth is baun, dwelling ... dwelling is the basic principal of existence.
